COMPENSATION: $400/wk
DURATION: 12-14 weeks this summer

TASKS INCLUDE:
- Coordinate regional efforts for fundraisers, events and public service campaigns for the 2010 Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon
- Write press releases and media alerts
- Pitch stories and build relationships with local and national news media
- Promote local fundraising events
- Copywriting
- Place stories in print and broadcast media
QUALIFICATIONS INLCUDE:
- Jr., Sr., or recent graduate
- Studying PR, marketing, journalism, communications or advertising
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Self-motivated within a fast-paced, deadline-orientated environment
- Preferred candidate will have experience writing press releases, media advisories and pitching stories
