OVERVIEW: The Communications Job Shadow program takes place the week of spring break 2010 and allows UW-Madison students a chance to learn more about a particular career path/industry.

TASKS INCLUDE:

• Conduct informational interviews with staff on marketing, media and PR, event management, graphic design/creative
• Attend department meeting for marketing and communication and/OR program and event planning
• Participate in organization-wide orientation on Wisconsin Alumni Association

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• Background or interest in: marketing; media and PR; corporate communications; magazine design, production, editing and writing; graphic design and creative; event planning and management; lobbying and advocacy; technology OR database management
